Tuition Choice

Delivering the optimal private loan solution for each student

Security

The security of our customers' personal and financial information is critically important to TuitionChoice. In keeping with that priority, we designed our process to be so secure that we ourselves cannot access the information in your loan application, where all of your private information is contained. Only you and the lenders that receive your loan application have access to the information in that document.

Secure
Storage

The TuitionChoice system is designed around the TC Desktop application, which privately manages your loan application on your PC. It utilizes a proprietary and encrypted format for storing data on your PC and transmitting it to lenders. Your loan application is never databased by TuitionChoice.

Secure
Transmission

When you submit a loan application to lenders through TuitionChoice, it is sent to our servers in its encrypted form through SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). A closed translation process then converts your encrypted document into a stream sent via SecureFTP to lenders. If the transmission fails for any reason, you will be asked to retry the transmission, because TuitionChoice will not have the contents to be able to do so.

Password
Protection

After your loan application is submitted, the TuitionChoice system collects lender responses and loan offers so that you can review them and choose a loan. You must be logged in with your password to either the TC Desktop application or the TuitionChoice website to view your account and see lender responses and loan offers.

Secure
Website

All of the pages of the TuitionChoice website that involve your account are delivered to your web browser via HTTPS, which utilizes SSL to securely communicate information between servers and browsers.

Secure
System

When the TuitionChoice system goes live for processing loans, it will be hosted at an enterprise class data center. The environment will feature;

  • Redundant power, HVAC, and internet connectivity
  • Physical security of the environment
  • Network security for the servers
  • Multiple servers for efficient failover management
  • RAID storage
